Lesson 2: crew rotation is designed up front

Taking a good operator abroad is easy; keeping them there is hard. What worked: fixed working weeks + home-leave rotation, decent housing, familiar food. It sounds trivial — but on site, morale is tempo, and money saved on meals leaves through productivity.

Lesson 3: the supply chain is built before the work

What slowed the first weeks wasn''t the job but supply: which quarry, which batching plant, whose diesel? Map local suppliers before the first machine ships; start orders small, scale after quality is proven.

Lesson 4: contract language and measurement discipline

Abroad, measurement files and progress-payment discipline matter even more: appeal channels are distant and relationships are new. Every item photographed with coordinates; every protocol bilingual. The same system we run at home — tightened.
